Early macbook pro 2011 keeps shutting down

I have an early 2011 macbook pro , and yesterday I updated its firmware to the latest version ( as suggested by the Software Update agent ). Since then it keeps shutting down something like after 30 minutes. I first noticed this when using Windows 7 and thought there is a problem with windows so I wiped the whole system and re installed OS X Lion. Again the same thing with the OS X Lion.

Is there anyway to revert the firmware updates?

any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

does it just turn off, or does a black curtain drop down over the screen in 5 languages telling you to restart?

You can revert back to before the Firmware update if you have a Time Machine backup.

Unfortunately , I don't have a time machine.

Isn't there any ways to sort of override the current settings and somehow be able to install the EFI Firmware 2.7 again?

I got my macbook pro tested with ASD, and surprisingly the failure occurs in Open GL , 12 erros .

I have been using my mbp for like a year and nothing had happened to it until the recent Firmware Update.

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. Back up all data before you go.
