Loss of wireless internet after ejecting iPhone?

After being connected successfully to my Windows PC, transferring files, apps, pics, music etc. I eject and remove my iPhone, a minute late, my PC loses it's wireless connection with my (Thompson Plusnet) router, I have to restart my PC to regain the connection. Is there a specific router setting I need to adjust? Any ideas are welcome and will be investigated. Thanks.
