Aug 29, 2012 2:24 AM in response to vazandrewby limaaa999 ,im not sure if every other device the person has works on the network BUT FOR the ATV, you can still call it a "network problem" but not the ATV itself.
sure the network has faults, but why do other devices work? why can't Apple make the ATV work like their other products?
im having the same issues with my brand new ATV. router is the time capsule.
its beyond frustrating, when it keeps crashing back every 10 minutes as I play a movie/tv shows from my imac's itunes
and as for Airplay, goodness me, it mirrors fine with my ipad 2 when I only swipe between screens, but when i open an app, it crushes.so tell me what's the use of it if i can only see homepages of my ipad?
i was trying to convince how great Apple really is to my anti-Apple roomate with the ATV, and given this performance, im sure i don't have to tell you the end of that story...

Aug 30, 2012 6:53 AM in response to vazandrewby BenFinklea,Use Google’s Public DNS Server To Fix Apple TV Streaming Problems
1. Navigate to Settings >> General >> Network and select Configure TCP/IP.
2. Select “Manually” next to Configure IP.
3. Dont change the IP address or the Subnet Mask and Router Address. Just click "Done".
4. Set the DNS Address screen with the following: 008.008.008.008 and click “Done.”
You should now be able to stream more smoothly on your Apple TV.
