Let's first rule out software issues. Start with a Reset. If that does not work, move on to a Restore and Recovery. If no improvement take it to the nearest Apple Store for a replacement.

Try to Reset your device:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

Recovery mode restore if needed:

Hey guys,

I have had this problem for the past three weeks, went to a apple store in vegas and the staff knew it was a problem and only a replacement could happen but my phone is a EU model and could not been replaced.

One idea the apple guy told me was try reset the iphone but not restore it from back up

It worked! the camera is working! I know its a hassle losing a few photos and the layout of apps but its saved me from waiting two weeks for a new iphone since theirs no apple stores in Ireland yet.

SO RESET & NO RESTORE

Hi,

I discovery how to fix this...it is simple. iTunes. Sync your iPhone with an other iTunes.

Sadly, but yes it is. I tryed every single little thing that i found in web to solve this. But when i gave it up and plug my iphone in my work computer to charge the iTunes synced without telling my iphone was enroled with an onther itunes, so for the curiosity i let the process go and the magic was done.

The worst part is to delete all your itunes and start a new one, make a new music library, download all the app, lose all the Messenges. But better than lose iPhone.

My computer is a Windows 8
