Delete photos while previewing them like in windows

Go to the folder with the pictures. Select all pictures (Command + A) then right click and select open. A preview window with all images will open, you can now browse through the pictures and if you don't like one delete it (Command + Delete). The picture will go straight to your trash can and you will be taken to the next picture. Hope this helps.

You’re responding to a post from 2012. Things changed...

Preview, as the name implies, is meant just for quick and easy viewing of files in different formats, without having to open the applications that created the format. It is not design for file management.

I recommend using iPhoto (free with every Mac) to import, store, manage and edit your photos. You'll have a much easier time with it.

It still may not be your cup of tea, but you can drag down the bar that separates the images from the text so that the images are larger. If that is not large enough, when your pointer is on an image, you may press the 'Space' bar and the image will be displayed full screen.

Have you tried the 'Cover flow' option? It might do exactly what you want to do.
