How do I create an event successfully? this error keeps coming up everytime I try and save a new event in my calendar. It was working fine. I have updated the software to 5.01, tried resetting it, turning it off, closing open apps, changing the calendar in settings. I am at a loss.
BTW Siri is terrible with Australian accents or maybe my Siri just have good hearing LOL

I went to settings, icloud, then unchecked calendars. It asked me if I wanted to delete or keep events from the cloud on my phone. I chose DELETE. I waited one minute. I rechecked the calendar to use the cloud. I looked and all the ghost "new event" items that couldn't previously be deleted or altered were finally gone! Thank God!

As for Siri, it is common for it not to work in Australia. I have been having issues using Siri since I bought 4S in December 2011. Siri tells me to use American English, so I change to US English and still not work. Apple tell me to go back to using Australian English but still not working have tried to reset phone etc all not working. Siri is a beta still so maybe an update will fix issues.
I have hotmail and gmail on my phone but neither are using calenders. Iv tried putting iCloud calender on and off and both make no difference 😟
Make sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default calendar on your phone: Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars, scroll down to the Calendars section and tap Default Calendar, make sure you have selected Calendar under your iCloud email address (and not Calendar under On My iPhone).
Yay fixed it!
I had to make sure my calender option was turned off in my gmail and hotmail mail settings, then closed all open apps, then turned on calender selection back on in my gmail and hotmail mail settings (even though i dont use gmail for my calender). At least my iphone calender app now works!!!!!! what a pain LOL. I wonder what gmail calender does tho? I always thought iphone calender was a seperate entity.
I didnt have to do anything with iCloud thankgod.
