Have you repaired permissions with Disk Utility?

What exact message are you seeing? If no message, exactly what are you doing and seeing?

I dont know what "repaired permissions with disk utility" is... sorry!

When i try and open itunes, i get a message saying :

"Check with the developer to make sure itunes works with this version of mac os x. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any avaiable updates for the application and mac os x.

The problem is when i try to install the lastest verson of itunes, it downloads, but again wont open (This doesnt even say anything, just doesnt open!) And im not sure how to "reinstall" the original version i got with my macbook. Any help would be much appreciated! 🙂

We'll need more background such as computer information. To get more information about your computer, go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number.

If you are ineed running Lion then the latest iTunes will work.

Ah, so we're not even talking about iTunes running. The installer won't run. Have you tried downloading a second time? If the installer won't run this may not even be an iTunes issue but problems with the system installation.

I have tried dowloading it a second time, no change. When you say "system installation" are you saying that its an actual default with my computer? I have never had trouble with dowloading anything before i downloaded the latest version.

I did try dowload the latest version of itunes, but once the dowload is complete, nothing happens and i cant open the latsest version of itunes.

I went About this mac, more info, and this is what it says :

"Mac os x Lion- version 10.7

Start up disk: Macintosh HD

No software updates found

Last Check 29/02/12

On the other side of the screen it says:

MacBook 13 inch

2.4 Ghz intel core 2 dual processor

Serial number:...........................

I dowloaded the lastest version of the mac os x and now i cant open itunes. I need help, please.
