My keyboard shortcuts have suddenly stopped working. The problem seemed to occur after loading Evernote so I deleted the application but still have the problem. Any suggestions?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Have you tried restarting the machine?
Yes, I have. I've also confirmed that all my keyboard preferences are set to default.
Go to (HardDrive) > Users > homefolder (the one with the house icon) > Library > Preferences.
Locate and drag the following prefs files into the Trash -
com.apple.systempreferences.plist
com.apple.ServicesMenu.Services.plist
com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist
Empty the Trash and restart.
I deleted the first and third files--I didn't have the second file in my Library, emptied the trash and restarted--but the problem persists.
