I am new to the iWorld of things. I don't have a mac or iCal or mobile me. I just bought an iPhone and am trying to figure things out. I like the iCloud calendar better than Google or Outlook and would like to use it for everything. Our baseball league's website will export the schedules via an .ics format. How do I upload this into iCloud - specifically into my "Kids" calendar?
I think you can only do it via a computer. Apple's instructions for doing so involve iCal on a Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4967
You can sync a calendar using iTunes (info tab of iPhone) in Windows , but i'm not sure that'll accomplish what you're looking to do. And I believe you may have to set that calendar up in Windows Live Mail first as well...might be quicker at this point to manually enter the events.
As an alternative, you can just manage your Google calendar by adding it to your iPhone...go to Settings--->Mail, Contacts and Calendars --->Add Account
