iMac not giving me option to connect WiFi

At first when I got the iMac, Airport would show up on the top left, but after trial and error (wouldn't let me connect to WiFi) I reinstalled Lion. Now it won't show up, only in Recovery HD. I've tried the whole bluetooth process as well as the Command PR thing and no luck. I go to System Preferences > Network and the only options it gives me is Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Firewire. I as well tried connecting it with my Ethernet Cable and still doesn't allow internet access. I've reinstalled Lion 3 times. Right now I am on 10.7 but will try any troubleshooting you guys help me with, the reason I haven't upgraded to 10.7.3 is because I've done so the last 2 times and no luck as well, and this way if you guys have any ideas I can just update it to the one you guys advise me. I would also like to add that WiFi won't turn on when I go to "Assist Me" the only thing it says is "Other Networks" It doesn't even pick up my neighbours WiFi.

What about your WiFi?

Why are you using your neighbor's WiFi?

I'm using it as a reference that the iMac won't pick up any signal. Of course I cannot use my neighbours they have their's protected, I have my own internet possibly even faster. Verizon FiOS

Did you try using the network setup assistant?

System preferences, Network, click on "Assist me" then on "assistant" and try setting up a wifi network from there.

What hardware do you have?

Wi-fi router? Highspeed internet cable modem? network switch?

Is anything else able to connect to the internet in your house?

Cell phone? PC? iPad?

Yes Eric. That is where I go and the "Wifi" option is is dimmed and doesn't allow me to click it. I added a picture above. Yes my iPhone connects perfectly fine same with my Dell PC and my PS3. As I mentioned not even Ethernet cable lets the iMac connect.
