How many characters allowed in the notes field of a contact within Address book? You can have as much as you want on the Mac but once it syncs to iCloud it only allows 3,200. This was not the case before within Snow Leopard and Mobile Me.
Does anyone know of any work arounds or that I am incorrect? What a downer!

No. I never resolved this. It was actually a problem my father was having. Now I am having another problem, (and he has it too). The notes created in the notes field get doubled and tripled. But before it gets doubled an indentation and the letter N appear. I did some research and it's obviously a bug, because others have the same problem.
Thanks Julian for confirming my suscpician. This is new to iCloud, mobile me didn't have these limits.
iCloud now uses the industry standard CardDAV protocol for contacts, so I don't know whether it is a limit imposed by that standard, or an arbitrary one imposed by Apple's implementation.
