I have created the group in address book but when I send the e-mail, the address (group name) does not stay on the message. When I try to send, I get the message that I have no addressed listed. I have checked the group and the addresses are in the group. Can you help?

In Mail Preferences> Composing> check the box next to "When sending mail to a group, show all member addresses,"
Please also double-check if you have two groups with the same name, one being empty.

I checked that in preferences, but I get the same result as the person starting this thread. Scratching my head over how to use Address Book groups in Mail . . .
I have the same issue. Right click on a group name, select Mail Group, New message in Mail pops up, but "TO" field is empty... 😟
try this: enter the group name in your address field by spelling the group name. Once it shows up, the press return. You should see all of the individual adressees from that gorup listed. Then press send. Hope this helps
