iPad2 OS5 with Android 2.3 hotspot fails, but iPad2 OS4 with Android 2.3 hotspot works - why?.

Has the abilityy to link to a hotspot been disabled in OS5?

I get a message that the iPad2 (OS5.0.1) is paired with my Android (LG-P500) phone BUT is not connected. I can see the Android's WiFi name in the iPads list of possible networks and can connect to it with a password.

I also have an ipad-2 with OS4.3.3 which connects properly and gives no trouble.

Any work around is welcome - I suppose I could doowngrade again.
