How can I upload a pin using Pinterest on my IPad? When I try the box to select an image goes gray and I cannot access my files
You will need to use one of the apps designed for doing this available in the app store
I've checked all the Pinterest apps and cannot find one with a solution. This seems to only be an issue with the IPad. I do not have this problem with my PC or IPhone. Is this some sort of security issue, or a problem with the IPad? I've checked the settings in the IPad and cannot find anything prohibiting the upload of images.

The "Pinterest Uploader App for iPad" is free and it works beautifully. When you open it the first time, you must add an account. You put in your Pinterest email and password or use the Facebook or twitter options.
It won't work until you add your Pinterest account as it needs permission to add to your boards.
Then you just use the app to upload images. You have a choice of camera or existing. Pick existing and it brings you straight to your camera roll and albums. Select the picture you want and pin it! Easy!
