Q: White screen - please help

Hello,

I bought a iPod touch 4 generation in January of this year from Argos and it has been working ever since I came home from work, but half an hour ago the screen turned white. I am praying this isn't the white screen of death, but think it is. I've tried holding the top and bottom buttons down but this doesn't work, I've tried connecting it to my laptop and iPod charger but then again this doesn't work. I don't wither to try and let the iPod drain and pray it will work tomorrow once connected to my laptop!

I had it less than 8 weeks and can't find the recepit. I'm more than gutted to say the least, please please please please help!
