But even that EULA is not universal. It has a number of caveats. And at this rate, you are likely nearing your lifetime limit of four transfers, no?

What in **** are you talking about?

Edit...

I see the clause you flagged. Well, I sold a version of Photoshop and a version of Lightroom so I still have half a life left. Apple allows me ZERO. No matter how you look at it, FOUR IS GREATER THAN ZERO.

Reflecting further on this evenings conversation there is another aspect that I feel needs to be mentioned. The pricing.

I remember paying $130 and $80 in the past for upgrade versions of Mac OS X on physical media; first 3.5" hard floppies, then CDs and finally DVDs. The last two versions of Mac OS X were $30. This next version, coming out next month, will be $20.

Family versions of iLife and iWork were limited to 5 computers and were in the range of $130 and $180, IIRC. Today the copies of the apps are sold individually and carry a full family EULA without limitation, install them an however many Macs you own or control. iLife apps are $15 and iWork apps are $20. Yes, Apple changed the model, but Apple has drastically changed the price and the number of Macs and devices that can use the apps.

Hey Guys, I have been studing MS Windows Support Technologines for 15 years. 4 years ago my company handed me a Mac enviroment to support. I have continued to further develop my Windows Skills but have been happily developing my Mac side.

This Blog is not about Mac vs PC

I found this blog because I too found the need to transfer ownership of an OS X Lion Client.app I purchased on my fiancie's Apple account. Being an engineer I need to be organized and I should have purchased it with my Apple ID but did not.

I agree with MACp0wer....... My Girl owns the application but has no use for it, I however would like to transfer Ownership to keep things clean.

This is not a blog at all. This is a user-to-user tech support forum. The hosts do allow a certain amount of posting opinions but generally, that's not the purpose here. You can agree or disagree with people about the issue of transfer of ownership as much as you want but it won't really change anything.

Best of luck.
