I just checked and Google will allow me to do everything I am asking.  So apparently its not DRM related, its purely Apple's decision.  I'm not asking to steal anything.  I'm simply asking to make thing simpler and thought maybe I could find an answer.  Clearly, you guys are not willing challenge Apple.  You simply accept whatever they give you as the best and assume it is the best when there are plent of other options out there that offer more and better services.

My college email was disabled.  And I want to make my Apple ID using my @me account that Apple let me create for iCloud.  But unfortunately, for some illogical reason, I can't use my @me account for my Apple ID.  I now have to create ANOTHER personal email.  And there is not reason for that not to be allowed.  Every other competitor allows this.

And they will be on eBay tomorrow if you are interested.  I'll send you the link.

If it's on the Internet, it must be true!

    Bull ****.

Google is not the number one distributor of music in the US and the world for starters, and Google does not have 700,000 apps available for that swiss cheese for security mobile OS that is Android.

This is not the place to challenge Apple **** for brains. This is a user to user help forum only.

Hahaha, they don't have 700,000 apps, but they have 600,000.  I'm indifferent.  I asked for help and you insincerely shot me down and told me to suck it up or get lost.  I chose the latter because I demand a service and Apple won't provide it.  There is music Google has that Apple doesn't, and vice versa.  But there is a significant of enough overlap that there is almost no difference.

There are no idle threats here.

I'm not real sure why you are engaging these guys in a fight when I am asking questions to try to understand your situation. Millions of folks use @me.com addresses for their Apple ID. I use one. Why was the account that you say that you have disabled? What was the fraud? How was the @me.com address connected to the ID?

P_P as a newly minted Level 6, you should attempt to be nicer to folks.

    700,000 clueless wonder.

Apple is the largest distributor of music in the world. Gaggle doesn't come anywhere close.

    You don't want help.

You guys are funny.  I got the best help I've gotten all week.  You're better than Apple Cusomter Service.  Thanks for helping me figure out I need to make the switch.

Then what about the millions of us that have @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs? Are you saying that my ID doesn't exist?

The real issue is why was your account disabled, but you appear to be avoiding ansering that question.

my @me.com wasn't disabled.  someone made fradulent purchases on my college email and so I want to deleted the bad email and use @me.com.  Clearly you don't read though as the picture above shows what happens when I enter my @me.com email...."Apple ID must not use a domain owned by Apple."  I don't think you can get any clearer than that.  You must be confuesed because you have so many accounts its hard to keep track of....
