Calendar Crashing

Why does the calendar app crash when I try and view March 2013?

Same here.

I have what seems to be a bad recurring appointment.

In month view the calendar crashes when I tap the appointment.

In day view the calendar crashes when I turn to the day containing the appointment.

Since the appointment recurs every Friday I cannot use ANY Friday in the calendar.

Can't view the appointment, so can't delete it.

What a joke!

Come on Apple - how about a fix?

I experienced the very same issues around the date this post was created. After I updated to 5.1 it seems to have worked itself out. HOWEVER:

I suggest erasing your iCloud calendar entries (don't worry you can recover them later by switching Calendar back on) in the settings menu then closing calendar/reboot the iPad and THEN enable your iCloud calendar again. This worked for me at least temporarily. I found it too that it was the Day view that was giving me trouble, and not the Month or Week view.

I hope that helps someone. Like I said I haven't encountered the issue since then so I can't guarantee it'll work but it's worth a try.
