Find My Mac - Recovery Partition Required
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7)
Well restart the system holding down either the Command+r keys to boot directly into the Recovery HD or hold down the Option/Alt key to get the one time boot menu screen and see it the Recovery HD is on your disk.
If it isn't then you can do software update to have it installed.
Do you haev Windows installed in Boot Camp?
Did you fool around with the partitions in any way?
Okay, I don't have one. I think I had to reinstall a while back and must not have set it up properly. How do I get it back? I have backups on Time Machine. Thanks!
Apparently when I reinstalled a few months ago, I didn't set up the partitions properly, so the recovery console wasn't installed. I reinstalled today and all is good
I am having the same problem. Can someone please show me? I also have backups on Time Machine which I have tried to restore. Please advise. Thanks!

I relied on a friend (expert) to help me with this. If you don't have an expert near by, I'd go to Genius Bar at Apple Store and have them help you. Typically this would be a free repair...although, you might check with them to be sure.
