You don't. QT is a media player—not a DVD player nor a DVD authoring application. To create a DVD for viewing on a commercial DVD player you must use a DVD authoring/burning application like iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, or a similar third-party app/utility. Ignoring how iDVD v6 got installed on a new system, I was not aware you could not open and use it as an independent application on a newer platform even if you lose some functionality. If you can open it, then simply drop/import your files to the opened application. If the files are QT compatible with your system's codec component configuration, the older application will automatically convert the files as necessary for burning and create a menu based on how your own design or lack of it.

Thanks, sadly the iDVD will not open, is incompatible, and so I am going back to Apple store to get help..I had old files transferred from my old Mac to this new Mac and this is what I got.

If old files included old iDVD projects, they may have had to copy the iDVD app for project compatibility and in the process overwritten the newer app.
