Capturing Canon G10 footage to FCP 6

Having difficulty capturing footage from Canon HF-G10 to FCP 6.0.6.....IMAC OSX 10.6.8....using LOG and TRANSFER....footage shows up in browser but if I close FCP and reopen later clips unplayable (Xed out in red) and message in viewer MEDIA OFFLINE
