I am trying to deliver our book through iTunes Producer and I am getting this error:
ERROR ITMS-9000: "Unable to parse opf file: container.xml" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage)
Anyone know how to correct this issue? Thanks.

Our iBook is over 300MB. Could it be that iTunes Producer has a 200MB limit?

I have the same problem. I have uploaded ten epubs with iTunes Producer without problems, but all of a sudden the producer won't parse the container.xml file, although it's identical in all the epubs.
Suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am in the same trouble... I couldn't find a way. too...
I was getting that error when I used OSX's default compress feature. I found a little utility called ePub Zip and used it to compress (zip) my ePubs and that did the trick. They then passed the validation. I got it here:

Glad it did for you. The only way I could get it to work was to use the PC version of sigil and save it there then transfer back to the MAC.
