Mar 8, 2012 7:15 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby unicorn27,Just to add my experience to the list...
My iTunes 10.6 works fine until I select either Films or TV Programmes in the library, then iTunes crashes as it tries to load the artwork.
I'm still running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and iPhoto is 9.2.2
Thinking I'll downgrade iTunes if they don't release a fix soon.

Also, I can connect my iPhone 3G, first generation Apple TV and three iPods (third, fourth & sixth generation) and sync all devices with no problem.

Mar 8, 2012 7:28 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby sks@mac.com,I'll add my experience as well.. Lion 10.7.3, Upgraded my iPads and iPhone to 5.1 fine, then upgraded to iTunes 10.6. iTunes doesn't crash for me, but it will not see my devices anymore (except for old AppleTV 1). Every time I dock an iPad or iPhone, I get a popup that states "Photos in the Camera Roll of "x" cannot be imported because the device is locked wih a passcode. You must unlock the device to import them". Clicking ok clears the popup, but no devices in iTunes.
Oddly, even if I unlock the devices, they still don't appear in iTunes. So, while iTuens doesn't crash for me, it's as useless as if it did, since I can't sync, upload new stuff... and so on...
ok, so where's 10.6.1?

Here's what I got after updating....

Mar 8, 2012 7:44 AM in response to Lord Mexby nategold,All of you need to report crashing at bugreport.apple.com It requires a free login. This is Apple's official bug reporting site.
-
Mar 8, 2012 7:51 AM in response to nategoldby Lord Mex,It says:
You must be a registered Apple Developer to file bugs via Bug Reporter.

Mar 8, 2012 8:08 AM in response to Lord Mexby nategold,Lord Mex, you can sign up for free. It is the only real way to get bugs to Apple. You can click the send feedback but who knows where that goes and how much attention gets paid to it.

Mar 8, 2012 9:55 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby krcarson,Just did some computer upgrades and now iTunes crashes for me every time I try to sync my iPod. Strange thing is, it actually syncs it, but then iTunes crashes. Fix this quickly, please, Apple!

Mar 8, 2012 10:16 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby TommyLee_,I'm beginning to wonder if there's some truth behind this iPhoto thing. I'm still using v8.1.2, because v9+ #@%$! in comparison in my opinion. Not to mention all the people who lost pics on the initial upgrade to iPhoto v9. As much as I'm an Apple fan, it ****** me off to no end, that they don't really QA anything!
They probably have some high school kid in Cupertino do the upgrade on a Mac with the latest hardware and software one time. If it works, done!!! ...and #@%$! the public!

Mar 8, 2012 10:55 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby Gabriel of Toronto,It is a small reassurance to know that my computer is not the only one wigging out after recently updating its iTunes software.
My computer's behavior...iTunes either crashes on me, or it shows a **** of a lot of lag. Will play music from my playlist, but readout of the song (ie. title, artist, time left in track, etc) lags behind, or just freezes altogether while the song continues on. It's also seriously impacting the performance of the rest of the apps on my computer. Browsing with my Chrome browser just ***** now, because anything is taking forver to load or browse through. Solutions so far? I'm just now researching this problem.
Stats:
MacBook
OS X Version 10.6.8

Mar 8, 2012 11:18 AM in response to theguypostingacommentby Momomoesh,I used your advice - guy posting a comment and dashe
Trashed the new update (had to change preferences as someone suggested in a previous post). Then went into time machine and restored the whole itunes folder from yesterday. Now it works. Just synched with no problems.

Mar 8, 2012 11:20 AM in response to Deni Kasamaby TommyLee_,Update: My system is an iMac running OS x v10.7.3, with iPhoto v8.1.2
Nothing I have tried so far (short of downgrading I presume) has worked. iTunes will work, until I plug in my iPhone 4, at which point it quits and disappears within 60-seconds flat every single time guaranteed!!!
Also, Gabriel of Toronto; I have the same issues with Google Chrome (while iTunes v10.6 is open) as you described above with the overall lag.
I contacted Apple, and most major Apple related websites like TUAW for instance, hoping the power they have will get Apple off there 'ace' to fix this problem most rikki-tik!!!

Mar 8, 2012 11:52 AM in response to TommyLee_by Gabriel of Toronto,I registered with apple as a developer for the **** of it, just so I could log a bug report with them.
Crossing my fingers this will get resolved soon.
