As I recall I have to add mail certs to X509 Anchors in the Keychain in order not to be asked every time I connect to a mail server as to whether I accept the certificate or not. But I can't add them to my X509 Anchors. That is, I choose to add them to it, but they only end up in the section "login". I've tried moving them from "login" to X509 Anchors, but they won't. Is something wrong or has something changed?

Keychain Access > File > Import...
    choose the certificate
choose the keychain where the cert should be added too
    click Open

doesn't this work when logged in as admin?
If I remember correctly I had to do this as admin (which actually makes sense).

Interesting. I did try what you suggest. However, this time I decided to do the operation totally differently. Whereas before I created the cer file from the SSL Certificate warning (or whatever it's called) when connecting to the server, this time I took the actual certs from the servers and added them. The went right into the X509 Anchors.
    Strange.....

We could make this a feature request, it's very probable, they forgot about this.

Glad this worked out for you.
