Q: move pictures between computers

You can network the PowerBook and the Macbook with an ethernet cable. That's how I move most stuff among our five active Macs. See this for instructions on network file sharing:

BTW, you have a PowerBook and a MacBook but your post ended up in teh forum for pre-2006 iMacs. I'll ask theHosts to move it to an appropriate forum.

Probably the easiest way is to use a USB thumb drive.
