TrackPad, Is there just one model?

Has there been more than one TrackPad made? For instance newer models? Or has there just been one original model from the beginning of its run?

There's only been one Magic Trackpad model so far.

So the one from 2009 model #A1339 is the same as the one now being offered on Apple's website?

A buddy gave me his so I haven't ordred a new one.
