Selected wallpaper not showing on booting up.i

I've selected one of my pictures as a wallpaper. Initially everything was fine, but lately, whenever I boot up my Mac, I get "Aurora" wallpaper instead of the one I selected. When I go to System Preferences, it shows my photo as the selected one, but even if I click on it the desktop doesn't change. I have to select another wallpaper and then go back to the one I want to make it appear.Weird!!

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
