iTunes language localization problem w/iTunes 10.6

Hi all,

I just recently downloaded and updated the iTunes 10.6 update and now when I go to launch it I get an error that reads:

"This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version."

So far, I have:

Re-downloaded iTunes from Apple and installed.

Deleted my caches and restarted the computer.

Does anyone know how to go about fixing this? Thank you!

I was having this problem. I seem to have been able to solve it by switching my language from English to British English in the System Preferences. This is what my language settings should have been anyway and I'm not entirely sure why they were not set like this.

Same problem here...did the download (10.6.1) from software update. Switching to British English does launch iTunes...but I'm in America. When I change back to English in SysPref, I get the has not been correctly localizedmessage again. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. BTW, can't just reinstall from the Apple site, because it's still offering 10.6. And that was a problem too...caused my iMac to crash iTunes in grid view.
