Can you help me find a program I installed?

I have installed a music program on my new iMac. But I do not know where the program is located to open it. I saw that the program was put in "macintosh HD" durring instalation, but I cannot even find that. Would you be able to help me in figuring out where I can locate programs I have installed? (They are not coming up in Finder as well)
