journals iCloud upload broken

I have tried a couple of journals and then tried to post to the cloud, on both ocasions i have the wheel and no upload after 1 hour......

i just wonder if its the size of the file or too many people trying out the process, but it doesnt work

For me it will post, but I never see it on my homepage (even though that setting is also on).

Finely my journal has gone to the cloud and works in Safaria aand as a 'Tell a Friend' but cannot try the Homepage version as its not something i would use.

I have the same problem, just a spinning wheel even with only 1 photo in a journal...

Ditto -- eternal spinning beach ball when attempting to publish to iCloud. A friend published one to iCloud and shared the link--it was pretty cool. I'm guessing the problem now is too many people trying to upload. My journal is very small--only 7 photos, a note, map, and weather icon. 😕

Same problem here, Only two pictures in journal. Able to flip the switch to "Publish to iCloud" but link to "Tell A Friend" or "Open in Safari" is always greyed out.

You would have hoped they would have been prepared for people to want to use this great new feature! I'm sure they are just overloaded with new users and they will eventually fix it, but this puts a damper on my otherwise awesome experience with iPhoto on iOS.

Nope, it doesnt appear to be related to traffic or load. I can upload immediatley from 4 iCloud accounts which I have for my family members, these are basic 5GB limit accounts. As soon as I put the details in for my own account which was a paid up MobileMe account which was transfered to iCloud and has 25GB of iCloud storage it fails to upload anything.

Just tried this with another iCloud account which has 25GB of storage and got the same results.

These tests were carried out on 3 different iOS devices all with the same result. It would appear that there is a bug preventing migrated MobileMe accounts with additional storage from taking the Journal upload. These accounts work perfectly with other documents from pages and numbers.

Interesting. I had a MobileMe account before, only the free one that allowed the use of Find my iPhone, and then it converted to iCloud. So maybe this is related to what you are seeing...

I've never had a Mobile Me account -- just iCloud. The "publish to iCloud' isn't a critical feature to me at the moment (mainly a toy), but it is annoying that it's not working.

I had spent a while putting a journal together for family photos taken on a trip to the zoo so I was keen to get them uploaded.

In the end I just went to settings, deleted my iCloud account (25gb) and setup my wife's standard iCloud account. Went back to iPhoto and uploaded the journal. It took less than 5 minutes and takes up just under 20mb of her storage.

Removed her account from the iPad and reinstated my details. It will do for the time being but a bit of a pain.

So i think not related to what type of iCloud account you are using.

It seems a bug on this feature cannot turn-on on some users.

Same problem untill i reentered my iCloud password. After that it worked instantly. It seemed like it remembered my e-mail password and not my AppleId password.

Any news on a fix for this? I am trying from an iCloud account which is not a mobileMe transfer -- but it does have paid extra storage.

@JPheffer where do you re-enter your iCloud password?
