Difficult to find info on this -
Can I use apt-x enabled bluetooth headphones, without a an additional transmitter dongle, to listen to music from:
- 2009 macmini (with latest osx snow leopard)
- iphone 4s
- the new ipad (ipad 3)
Would appreciate any help.
aptX is supported by snow leopard but by iPhone or iPad. I hope this helps.

Ya I have creative wp-350's and would like to see the iphone support aptx as well..... according to creative they make a bluetooth adapter bt-d5 that transmits aptx on your phone or ipad but who wants an external connection to hassle with.....

I'm using Creative WP-350 Bluetooth headset. With the aptX enabled transmitter Creative BT-D5, music from my iPhone4 sounds better than iPad2. Does anyone know why? Is there a fix to this?
