I dropped my phone. Now I can't hear or be heard on calls. Any ideas?

I dropped my phone yesterday. Everything works fine, except that I can't connect to a call. I can make the call, it rings for the person I'm calling, the phone thinks it is connected--it starts counting time on the call--but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. There isn't dead air like there might be a sound--there's just nothing. People can call me, it rings, I can answer--but again nothing.

Texting works fine, microphone (I made a voice memo to test it) works fine, speakers work fine--it's just during a call that it doesn't work.

Any ideas? I haven't reset it yet--didn't know if that would help what seems like a hardware issue, and want to avoid waiting 18 hours for all my music to go back on it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Sorry. Not good news from me. I took it to the genius bar. The guy first reset the software. Then he opened it and checked it out. After those two things you could hear the person, but it was very jarbled and they still couldn't hear me. I was due for an upgrade, so I shelled out for a new phone...and the AppleCare warranty.

I understand that AT&T buys your used phone. Best of luck!
