Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Whenever I minimize a window in Safari it disappears, rather than show the minimized window on the dashboard. It never used to do that. When I click on the yellow minimizing button, the genie effect brings it to the Safari icon on the dock. From there, it seems to have disappeared. Any suggestions?
MacBook (13-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
System Preferences, Dock, uncheck "Minimize windows into application icon".

Normal behavior in Lion. Secondary-click the Dock icon to see the list of open windows. Minimized ones are marked with a diamond.
I'm not clear when you say Dock icon. ARe you talking about an icon that appears in the Doc. I do not sen to have one. any help would be appreciated. thanks,

This is a huge pain why doesn't it just put it on the dock like it used to?

I had this problem too in Snow Leopard. I right-clicked on the grey area of the dock right beside Safari and that brought up a menu of my open browser windows. Hope this helps.
