Sending Apple a Wire transfer for my MBP

I'm having some issues with credit card getting validated through the Apple website so I just decided I'm going to send a Wire transfer instead. Can somebody explain this process to me please? (I'm in Canada btw if that helps and with CIBC). From my undertanding I go into the bank, give them Apple's account info, and put my name and Web order ID number on the paper work. How long does Apple take to do the paper work on the transfer once the receive it? Has anyone paid using this method before? Did you have any issues or did it go smoothly?

Thanks

That's how I did mine... wire transfer... I'm in Canada, too. (Winnipeg) I am typing this on my new MacBook that just came in today!

This is how it works: call the Apple Store, set up the pre-order. They will then email you the info you need for the wire transfer. (Make sure you get the address for Apple in Canada, as well as the actual Bank address... they will want that, too).

Then go to your bank and tell them you want to do an Electronic Fund Transfer. They will make you fill out a form, and generally discourage you from doing EFT... I guess its a pain in the butt for them... beware, making a mistake on this form can send your money to someone else, and they can say 'thank you very much' and keep it. So triple check the banking info...

I called Apple the next day, and they confirmed that they recieved they money and that the order was processing.

Good luck!

Thanks for the prompt reply! Another question, I already have the web order ID number but you said something about an address? All I got for the Apple info was this (pulled right off the apple.ca website):

"Wire Transfer

The Apple Store accepts bank wire transfers as a valid form of payment. If you would like to use a wire transfer to pay for your order, please follow these steps:

1. Contact the Apple Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE (692-7753) and place an order by phone.

2. Obtain the final dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges from the Apple Store representative.

3. Have your bank electronically transfer the total dollar amount of your order referencing your name and web order number to: Apple Canada Inc. c/o TD Canada Trust

Bank ID: 0004

Transit: 12772

Acct #0698 5206130

Processing time varies among banking institutions and can be delayed. Please allow 1 business day for the processing of your wire transfer."

They never mention putting in there bank's address? Do you mean on the form I have to put in my bank's address?
