Contact Sheet Problem - blank spaces left where photos should be

I'm have a problem wih Contact Sheets in Aperture 3.2.2

Aperture is spreading the photos over more pages than necessary and leaving blank spaces where some photos should be. For example,

when I print a contact sheet with 10 photos with rows = 2, columns = 3, Aperture is spreading them out over 3 pages as follows:

Page 1

Photo 1Photo 2Photo 3
Photo 4blankblank

Page 2

Photo 5Photo 6Photo 7
Photo 8blankblank

Page 3

Photo 9Photo 10blank
blankblankblank

Print dialogue settings are:

- borderless A4

- Landscape

- Rows = 2

- Columns =3

- row spacing = 0.28cm

- column spacing = 0.23cm

- margins, top = 1.14cm, left = 0.53cm, right = 0.74cm, bottom = 0.78cm

- rotate to fit = off

- border = none

- metadata = "Name Only", "Below Image"

- title = on

- sub-title = off

- page number = on

- crop marks = off

Can you help, please?

Thanks

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Aperture 3.2.2

Sorry -- missed your follow-up months ago 😊 .

Let's either fix this or identify it as a bug.

Are you running the most recent version of Aperture?

Have you tried selecting another A4 setting?

Does it happen with another printer selected?

And -- although this is clear from your excellent description, I want to double-check -- the layout presented by Aperture is, for example, "7,8, blank, blank, 9, 10", and is not "7, 8, blank, blank, 11, 12"? In other words, Aperture is laying out "n + b" photo locations where "n" equals the number of Images selected and "b" equals the number of blanks Aperture is adding?
