Just to narrow things down: do the blanks go away when you uncheck "Metadata"? How about "Title"?

Changing the Metadata & Page Options has no effect on the blanks. I've tried turning all the options off (Metadate View = none, Logo = none, Commen Lines = 0, Title, Page Numbers and Crop Marks all unticked), the photos resize, but the photos and blanks stay in the same places.

I have the same problem. Have you ever found a solution ?

Sorry -- missed your follow-up months ago .
Let's either fix this or identify it as a bug.
Are you running the most recent version of Aperture?
Have you tried selecting another A4 setting?
Does it happen with another printer selected?
And -- although this is clear from your excellent description, I want to double-check -- the layout presented by Aperture is, for example, "7,8, blank, blank, 9, 10", and is not "7, 8, blank, blank, 11, 12"? In other words, Aperture is laying out "n + b" photo locations where "n" equals the number of Images selected and "b" equals the number of blanks Aperture is adding?
