Not that the new iPad does have "Dictation", i.e. you can dictate your text whenever the keyboard pops up using the microphone button.

Huge dissappointment for me, I was ready to buy one until Siri was excluded. I realize with the wifi model you may not always have an internet connection but you do with 4G. Tim Cook just made his first big mistake.

I had been waiting for Siri, also. I said what the heck and ordered one anyway. And then this morning I canceled my order with the intent to let Apple know how I felt and figured that if I canceled my order because Siri was missing then Apple would know I was serious.

That's a good move. The best part is that you need to have an internet connection to use Voice Dictation on the new iPad. Looks like I'll save my money for the next iPhone instead.

You do realise that you have simply ordered and cancelled without anybody knowing except the ordering system - in simple terms, a computer? "Apple" is not a conscious entity, and you have made no impression on them at all.

Consequently I joined this discussion to advance my opinion, and to attempt to bring this issue to their attention. I was also hoping that there might be others with a similar desire, that might join me.
