Can I make payments on Macbook repair?

Awhile ago, my "friend" knocked over a glass of wine right onto my brand new, less than a month old Macbook Air. It powered off immediately, and I pretty much assumed I was screwed after that. I don't have Apple Care which probably doesn't matter anyway seeing as nothing covers liquid damage. My friend was going on and on apologizing and saying she'd do whatever she could and pay for the repairs. I dropped it off at the Apple store and sent it off for a cool $800 in repairs. Of course, after I told my friend how much it would cost, she left me high and dry and said the spill wasn't even her fault. I'm wondering if I have to pay the $800 in full, or if I can make payments on it. The store can only hold my computer until March 21 so I need to find out if this is possible (and I'm tired of spending forever on hold with the store) Help!!

Unfortunately, this is a user to user forum. You would need to deal with Apple directly. You also have the option of going to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP). They will often have better pricing than Apple and may have different payment options:

Of course if you have a credit card, you can pay the repair costs in full and then make the payments on your card (along with any associated interest charges). Also, some charge/credit cards provide accidental damage coverage automatically. I only know for sure about American Express, but others may as well. If you purchased your machine with a credit card, it may be worth looking into.

I added this last part to my previous comment after your last posting... so you might have missed it... This may be an option for you.
