Messages Beta - invalid checksum

Has anyone else received an "invalid checksum" error message when trying to install Messages Beta?User uploaded file

Messages Beta-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

That's the same size I have, so it does appear to be complete. In another thread for a similar issue with a DMG (though not the Messages beta), the following was suggested:


I eventually found that if I did a reboot, unchecking the tick to re-open applications on boot, not opening any applications when it reboots, then downloaded again I wouldn't get the "invalid checksum" message.


Might be worth a try.

Thanks D2 for making it clear with your screenshot.


It didn't seem to work....BUT after I tried it the next time I tried to open the DMG file normally, that DID work.


Also five software updates that would not install (last tried yesterday), now they have all installed.


??


Note: When I first tried to Skip the Verifying I got a message: "User canceled the operation."


But, as mentioned, today all software updates have installed. It's a mystery to me but I'll take the 'happy ending.'
