View Internet on TV with Apple TV and Ipad

I want to use Apple TV w/Ipad to view internet on my TV. I heard that Ipad has Airplay to do this and I could use the keyboard to "google" internet. Has anyone set up their Ipad to do this and where can I find instructions? Thanks!
