Unable to install itunes 10.6


Been trying to install itunes 10.6 for 2 days. I download fresh copies each time and get the following message: "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected."

desktop pc-OTHER, Windows XP Pro, 2.6 dual core, 4gb ram, 300gb hd,

Try repair Apple Software Update.


Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install.


If you donot find ASU in All Programs, go to Control Panel, Add & Remove Programs.
