Disable some alerts, not others

On a mid-2011 Mac Mini running 10.7.3, I'm running iCal 5.0.2. I've got it tied to two iCloud calendars (Home, Work). This is my home computer. I'd like to disable alerts on the Work calendar and not the Home calendar. How do I do this?

Greetings,

iCal has the ability to supress all alarms (in iCal > Preferences) but there is no user interface to turn of alarms in a specific calendar. I suppose the thinking is, if you don't want alarms...why are they there in the first place?

If you don't want the alarms at all in that calendar you could remove them using a program like this: http://www.busymac.com/utils/icalcleaner.html

Be sure you backup all your calendars before you try such a solution just in case things go south: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966.

Hope that helps.

So I am gonna throw a monkey wrench in here.

I have two iCloud accounts on my iPhone/iMac. One is mine & the other is my wife's. We want to have access to each other's calendar so we can keep up with what we have scheduled. However, I don;t want my alerts to have bug her & vice versa.

If I use Maisey's answer, and I "ignore" my wife's alerts from her calendar, is that desire syncing to her iPhone and will she be ignoring her own alerts? Does that make sense?
