Streaming BBC iPlayer to Apple TV (2nd Gen) using Airplay 'An error has occurred'.

Hi,

I am trying to stream BBC iPlayer to my Apple TV (2nd Gen) using airplay, but as soon as I choose the Apple TV to stream to, I get an error on the TV saying 'An error has occurred, please try again later.'

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Or if there is a solution.

I am using an iPhone 4S and an iPad (1st Gen) and the error occurs on both.

Airplay Mirroring works with the iPhone 4S but it doesn't take up the whole screen.

Thanks,

Apple TV

I am not using the overseas app, I have the UK version but I recently moved to Corfu in Greece. I am using a VPN to watch iplayer and works great when watching it on the iPhone and iPad. But it is only when I try and stream it to my apple tv that I have the problem.

4OD works with AirPlay to my Apple TV. Just wondering why iPlayer isn't working.

Thanks for your reply.

I'll give that a go, setting my time zone to London, but I don't think that'll make a difference as 4OD and ITV Player both stream to the ATV. Just iPlayer that has the problem.

I am able to view iPlayer by using a VPN which changes my IP address to a UK one, but that shouldn't interfere with my ability to stream the whole video to the ATV through AirPlay.

Thanks for the replies.
