Multiple versions of same photo

Apple please fix this it is driving me nuts as well.i have 40 duplicates of the same pictures!

I am experiencing the same problem on my 3rd Generation iPad. This is becoming a frustration.

I have called and emailed Apple again and no satisfactory response. Hope they are working on a MAJOR upgrade.

Same problem here - both me and a friend. WE hope Apple fixes this bug soon.

Add me to the list - thouroughly confusing...sort it it Apple..!

Glad to see it's not just me, but why hasn't this been fixed? Maybe Apple can throw some of their billions of profits into making an iPhoto app that works!

So, has anyone tried it yet? Will installing the update remove all the duplicates? Any news on what procedure should be used to delete all of the duplicates?

Just installed the update. It didn't fix the duplicate problem for me! I hope you have better luck.

How did you go about it? I was thinking it might be best to UNISTALL iPhoto first, then re-install it.

Is the new version still creating duplicates for you?

I had previously uninstalled the app and I just reinstalled the new update. MY DUPLICATES ARE GONE!!!! I hope it lasts, my faith in Apple products is (cautiously) restored.

I installed the update but the duplicates were still there. Then I deleted iPhoto from the iPad and reinstalled it. No more duplicates - I hope it stays that way.

After you reinstalled iPhoto, were your edited and favorited photos still there?

Well I unfortunately answered my own question. Reinstalling iPhoto DELETES your edits, favorites, flagged, hides, etc. anything you did in iPhoto will be gone.

Apart from Journls, which I do not have, my experience was the same as yours.

Same problem. Why is no one listening and doning something about it at apple?
