Powering my 23" Cinema HD Display - no A1097

Hi.

I am trying to find a solution to powering my newly aquired 23" Cinema Display (M9178) which does not currently have the 90w Power Adapter (A1097). I wish to connect the display to my G5 Power Mac. The guy who sold me the monitor claimed that he powered it off his Mini Mac, which does not sound quite right... Is this possible?

Is there any alternative to buying a power adapter (brick) from China?
