Journal won't publish to iCloud?

Journals look like a great idea. But I've now created two on my iPad 2 and tried to publish to iCloud but all I get is the spinning wheel which suggests that the file is being transferred, but it never stops spinning. The first journal I tried to publish had about 10 photos, so I thought it might be that the files were too big. So then I tried to publish a journal with a single photot, but got the same behaviour. The spinning wheel spun on for ever.

Anyone any ideas?

. Same situation here...

. This night the iPhoto was the only App running, opened (not multitask) the entire night, trying to upload... and nothing, eternal spinning progress, only at App, nothing at Wi-Fi status.

. It's a little Journal, something between 20 and 30 iPad2 images; Internet connection ok, iCloud connection ok (Pages, Numbers, mail and Apps working fine, I guess (nothing new happening))

. Already done with all kinds of solutions... the only thing (on my side) that could be the reason, is that I'm running with little free space, that's my next step, remove some stuff to try again.

. Please, if someone knows something about this (Apple Staff too) just alert us, I'm a little bit tired of trying to make it work.

. It's new product, should have a #Beta tag (so we could expect bugs like this)...

. Thank you all for trying to help, I will look forward for a solution and post here if ...

Mine publishes on my iPhone 4s but not my iPad 3. I uninstalled iPhoto and rebooted. I lost all the journals off the iPad, but they are still in the cloud and I can see them on the iPhone, I just can't edit them. They did not reappear on the iPad. I uninstalled my cloud account on the iPad and reinstalled it. No good there except now all my contacts are duplicated.

I had the same problem (endless spinning) and followed Kevnmc's suggestion... But it may have been something in my iCloud setup, when I visited: Settings, iCloud, it complained that my password was invalid (good candidate problem!) I provided the necessary, then went ahead and deleted all IPhoto data, and was then able to publish my small test journal. Now for the big one!

I have been trying to figure out how to get these journals to post and stop the spinning gear. Well I have the answer. It is a work around for right now, but does work. When you first make a journal just add 20 pictures to it and then arrange the way you want then publish to icloud. This will work. I am not sure what the total number of pictures is before you just get a spinning gear, but I am sticking with 20 as I know it works. Then you go back an make another journals and select 20 more pictures and then add them to the previous journal you just created. You can add them to page 1 if you want so there would be 40 on the first page now or you can select Automatic and let iphoto decide which looks like it will just add a new page. Keep adding 20 pictures at a time and everything will work.

I always share the journal with my email address after the first 20 pictures, so I can then reload in the browser each time I add a new 20 pictures to make sure it is working. So far, so good. Hope this helps everyone, until Apple fixes this issue.

So since the journal feature came out I tried to publish a 100 pictures. 2 short videos over 4 pages - 90MB. I never worked at the beginning hence I subscribed to this thread.

I used tips listed here to make it work as I believe Apple has improved on the server side.

After uninstalling iPhoto of my iPad, deleting the data from the backup section in iCloud I started publishing it again.

After quite a long period of time, likely several hours of letting iPhoto spins its wheel it worked.
