I have an older mac with snow leopard and I just bought a new AIR with Lion. Is there a way to transfer everything including programs that are work related on to the new machine? Can I do it with time machine?

Did you turn on your new MBA? If not, when you do, you will be presented with an option to transfer data from a "Time Machine or other drive" (If you already set up your MBA, then use Migration Assistant)
Not yet, it is still in the box. I wanted to get an answer before I did open it up. Thanks so much, let me give it a try!
