can't watch games on mlb.tv, hdcp error shows up. How do I fix this ASAP!

I got my apple tv 2 as a gift from my gf in japan.

Was super excited about the size and the looks but immediately I became furious with the problem.

It is definitely not the internet connection, because the main menu of mlb.tv does show up.

I was able to login using my mlb.tv account information.

The scoreboard does display the recent scores.

I click on the game and for about 5 seconds, it is working fine.

After that 5 seconds, the game freezes, and during this time the round waiting circle goes around at the bottom left hand corner.

Then the monitor blacks out and says I have HDCP problem.

Getting really upset, because the main reason I bought apple.tv was to watch mlb.tv.

I have already missed out a week of baseball because of this problem.

Please send me a solution ASAP.

I have more than one ATV, so I tested it by swapping with the cable from a different unit. That's how I identified it was the cable. The problem followed the cable.

If you don't have a spare then could you borrow one to check, rather than spend the cash?

Personally, I've just bought cheap cables from Amazon. I think it's easy to get suckered into spending a load of money on these. I had that one fail, but have 7 others all working fine on various bits of kit (sky/surround/PS3/ATV) for a couple of years now. From what I know, the fact that it cost a lot doesn't mean it isn't the problem. Of course it doesn't mean it is the problem either.

Sorry I couldn't help more.
