Q: iPhone 3GS + ios5 = bad battery life - how to fix?
I upgraded my iPhone 3GS to ios5 and the phone turns off when i try to use any app when I'm not on WiFi. My phone shut off today when I was using fb app and was off wifi (att 3g) and my battery literally read 96%. There was no reason for my phone to shut off. My battery will drain to 50% if I'm on wifi before it shuts down during app use.
I want to restore my phone to the original ios, but I need a way to keep my contacts. I have a backup on iTunes but the backup is of ios5. So when I use the backup it gives back my contacts AND ios 5. Is there a way just to keep my contacts backed up and put them on a fresh reset ios?
This has been going on for months. I've been trying to hold out hoping a ios 5.1 would fix it, but it is taking forever to get released.
