I upgraded to iOS5.1 two days ago and my hotsopt disappear after that!!
I search the internet for solution and had tried to re-set the network three times already but nothing happened!!
can somebody tell me how can I find the hotspot again, please???

Okay this is what u do..go to settings-general-network-
make sure 3G is on, Cellular data is on, now go to cellular data and configure the APN for the internet thethring and go back it wil take a while then it will appear. If u are not sure of ur APN ask ur service provider
the thing is that my 3G is always on.... still cannot find my hotspot.... 😢
OH~~~~ finally~~ it works!!!
I reset my APN setting, switch off and turn on my iphone twice...
Finally!! it reappear!! thank God~~

Hi guys, I have the same problem. The thing is I can´t find a way to change or reset my APN setting, since there is no way to access to that. Please, I need your help guys..

Try to enter the settngs-->general-->network-->cellular data network
and you will find the place to fill in your APN info~

Well juaniemme , what i think you are refering to as your APN may be the already configured settings sent to you by your service provider. Som service providers hav blocked access to make changes to this APN and will require you to com to their offices for manual configuration. Now most service providers have two APNs they use..one usually WAP is for light browsing on your mobile device and this somtimes has lots of settings to configure..the other APN is for use by your mobile device as a modem in whic case you want to use as hotspot..this APN configuration is usually simple...there is a way to get out of your problem if only u are sure of getting your settings again 4rm ur service provider you can go ahead and delet it..and manually configure..provided u know the apn to use...jus go to settings-general-network-cellular data network-..now scroll down to internet tethering and enter ur APN ther..that is wher your hotspot becomes active wait a while b4 it comes up
