Why doesn't the iPhone have turn by turn "following" GPS navigation built in to work with Google Maps like the Android phones do?

Why doesn't my google maps show up on my google map on my iPhone? places i star i'd like to see on my map. why don't they? why doesn't the iPhone's turn by turn directions, update automatically when i make the next turn? why doesn't it reroute when i make a wrong turn? all of this is possible on android phones. if the iPhone is turely better, then these things would all be possible. if they are possible, please instruct me in how to make them so.

Licensing - Ask Google if they want to give away turn by turn on the competing OS.

There are plenty of Turn By turn apps in the App store providing revenue by their creators and yes 30% on retail to Apple.

The iphone is part of a business generating market and ecosystem after all. Apple certainly wants their 30% so they alos need to consider what to bundle and Turn by Turn clearly isn't high on their list . Some of the third party solutiond are among the highest priced of ios Apps and that benefits Apple no end.

Several Android and Nokia do load Turn By Turn apps i Know and these are differentiators for marketing purposes.

Hay that's just business . you the customer needs to way up the various bundles of installed software, and hardware performance and upgrades and available after market third party software plus of price and network packages in the whole before buying. NONE will have ALL your desires that's life however you will have at least made an informed purchase - THIS APPLIES to EVERYTHING and is the basis of value for money.

In the round cheapest is rarely best value.

So then why does the Google map on my iPhone, not show "My Google Map" and all the starred locations from my laptop and from when i had an android phone? it's Google, so why doesn't it show up?

I have a turn by turn GPS app and it works well. I just wish it would integrate with the google map in the way that the android system does.
